Arild Einar Espegren is a Norwegian local politician affiliated with the Christian Democratic Party. Since autumn 2011, he has served as the deputy mayor of Birkenes municipality, having previously been elected deputy mayor in 2007. He was promoted to mayor in spring 2010 after the previous mayor, Harald Vestøl, resigned for health reasons. Espegren is also a lawyer and has spent several years in Peru, where he frequently leads group trips.
