Arild Rødland is a Norwegian petroleum technologist and politician affiliated with the Christian Democratic Party (KrF). He has been a professor at NTH/NTNU since 1980 and served as state secretary in the Ministry of Oil and Energy from 1983 to 1986. Rødland has been associated with the Department for Petroleum Technology and Applied Geophysics since 1978 and has built collaborations with Russian educational institutions, earning an honorary doctorate in 1997. He was also an alternate member of the Storting from Sør-Trøndelag between 1989 and 1993.
