Her literary career began with winning an excellence award in the 1985 Star Novel Short Short Contest for her work 'Murder Telephone Shopping' under the pseudonym Reiya Yazaki. She debuted in 1989 with 'A Pure Boy as it is' using the name Arimi Yazaki. Her notable work includes the 'Butabuta' series featuring a pig doll as the main character.
