Arimo Raeste was a Finnish diplomat who served as the long-time steward of the Presidential Palace from 1973 to 1990. Born in Mänttä in 1930, he was the youngest of seven siblings. After studying at the Helsinki Finnish Community School and later the Helsinki School of Economics, he worked in various professions before joining the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. He participated in planning and organizing important state events and received numerous honors for his contributions. After retirement, he authored two memoirs.
