He authored seven poetry collections and gained recognition for his work, including winning the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1985 for 'Mero Siji', a collection of ghazals published in 1984. In 2013, he was honored with the Sahitya Akademi fellowship, marking the highest distinction from the Sahitya Akademi. He passed away on December 26, 2019, leaving behind a significant contribution to Sindhi literature.
