Arjan Singh (April 16, 1919 - September 16, 2017) was a distinguished officer of the Indian Air Force, serving as the Chief of the Air Staff from 1964 to 1969. He provided exemplary leadership during the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965, earning the Padma Vibhushan award in recognition of his contributions. Promoted to Air Chief Marshal in 1966, he was the first to hold this rank in independent India. In 2002, he was bestowed the honorary rank of Marshal of the Indian Air Force, a title held by only a few military leaders in India.
