Prof. Arma Abdullah, M.Sc. is an Indonesian educator who served as the sixth rector of Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta from 1987 to 1991. He succeeded Drs. ST. Vembriarto, who held the position from 1979 to 1987. Born on April 29, 1927, in Padang, he was the sixth of twelve siblings. His father was a founder of Partai Murba and his mother was the daughter of Abdoel Madjid Karim. Arma is also related to Assaat, a prominent figure in Indonesia's independence movement who served as Acting President.
