Arman Soldin was a French journalist born on March 21, 1991, in Sarajevo. He worked for Agence France-Presse (AFP) in Rome from 2015 and later in London. Following the onset of the Russian invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, he was sent to Ukraine to cover the conflict. Despite returning briefly, he rejoined the coverage in September 2022 as a video coordinator. Tragically, on May 9, 2023, he was killed by a rocket explosion in Chasiv Yar, Donetsk Oblast, while reporting, at the age of 32.
