Armando Palabay, also known as Mandrake, was a notable Filipino student leader and activist from San Fernando, La Union. Born on February 18, 1953, he became known for his pivotal role in anti-Marcos campaigns during the first quarter storm and the early days of Martial Law in the Philippines. Tragically, he was killed in 1974 while supporting the indigenous Tingguian people in Abra. In recognition of his contributions, he was posthumously honored in 2001 with inscribing his name on the Wall of Remembrance, acknowledging the sacrifices of those who opposed the dictatorship.
