Armando Zamora Segorbe is a linguist from Equatorial Guinea born on March 16, 1955, in Santa Isabel. He studied general linguistics at the Autonomous University of Madrid. He teaches at the National University of Equatorial Guinea and the University of Lisbon, specializing in Portuguese-based creole languages from the Gulf of Guinea. A recognized authority on the creole language from Annobón Island, he has published works including a descriptive grammar. He is a member of the Equatoguinean Academy of the Spanish Language and a corresponding member of the Royal Spanish Academy since 2015.
