Armella Ruben Shakaryan is an Armenian philologist and career diplomat, born on May 10, 1972. She currently serves as the Armenian ambassador to the United States of Mexico. In addition to this role, Shakaryan was appointed as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to several Central American countries including Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Guatemala, El Salvador, and Belize on August 24, 2021, by a decree from then-President Armen Sarkissian.
