Armenak Misirean, known as Aramis, was an Armenian painter born on March 23, 1901, in Adiyaman, Ottoman Empire. He received his formal education in his hometown and later in Aleppo, where he settled in 1915. In 1930, he moved to Paris and attended the Julian and Grand Chaumière academies. He gained recognition as a painter starting in 1952 and won the first prize at the Populist Salon in 1959. His works often explored themes of the Armenian Genocide and cultural survival, exhibited in cities like Paris, Zurich, and Amsterdam.
