He attended the Escola Industrial e Comercial Dr. Azevedo Neves and emigrated to Brazil in the 1930s, where he honed his artistic skills with various masters. Returning to Viseu after 17 years, he became a teacher and later focused on sculpture and medal-making. Ribeiro was recognized for his contributions to art and was honored posthumously, with a street named after him in Viseu.
