Arnaldo Versiani Leite Soares is a Brazilian jurist and magistrate born on May 15, 1963, in Belo Horizonte. He served as a Minister of the Superior Electoral Court and was appointed by President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva. Versiani graduated in Economics in 1984 and Law in 1985 from the University of Brasília. He was a substitute judge at the Regional Electoral Court of the Federal District from 2003 to 2005 and became a full minister on November 11, 2008. He was reappointed for a new term from 2010 to 2012.
