Arne Bård Dalhaug is a Norwegian officer born on May 6, 1954, in Målselv. He has held the rank of Major General since 2005 and served as Chief of the Defense Staff from 2005 to 2008. Dalhaug represented Norway in NATO's Military Committee from 2008 to 2011 and became the head of the NATO Defense College on July 22, 2011. He retired from military service in 2014 and worked as a civilian observer for OSCE in the Russian-occupied areas of Donbas, Ukraine, from 2016 to 2018.
