Arne Berglie (1930-2021) was a Norwegian-Swedish engineer known for his contributions to offshore platform design. Born in Jevnaker, Norway, he graduated as a civil engineer in 1954 and began his career at Götaverken in Gothenburg. He served as the technical director at Götaverken Arendal AB and was awarded the Polhemspriset in 1984 alongside Hadar Lidén for his innovative work on semi-submersible offshore platforms. Berglie was married to Karin Olsen.
