Arne Kristian Meedby was a Norwegian lawyer and politician, born in 1915 in Skjervøy and passing away in 1993 in Narvik. He served as the mayor of Narvik from January 1968 to December 1973. Trained as a lawyer, he worked in various legal roles including a judge's assistant, police officer, and high court lawyer. Politically active from a young age, he represented the Labour Party in the Narvik city council and was a secretary in the Troms Labour Party. His father was also a mayor in Lyngen.
