Arne Nesje was a Norwegian school superintendent and one of the founders of the School Leaders' Union (formerly known as the Norwegian School Superintendent League). He graduated from Hamar Teacher's College in 1946 and worked as a teacher beginning in Hemnesberget. After teaching in Oslo, he became the school inspector in Frogn and later the school superintendent. He also spent time in Zambia for Norad, and served as interim leader of the School Leader Union shortly after its establishment in 1977.
