Arngunnur Árnadóttir, born in 1987 in Reykjavík, is an Icelandic author and clarinetist. She graduated from the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin in 2012. Since then, she has served as the principal clarinet of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. In May 2015, she received a grant from the Icelandic Literary Fund for young authors for her debut novel, released in 2016 as 'Að heiman.' Her first poetry collection, 'Unglingur,' was published in 2013, followed by a second collection, 'Ský til að gleyma,' in 2018.
