Arnold J. 'Arnie' Simkus is a former American football player, born on March 25, 1943, in Schlawa, Germany. He emigrated to the United States as a child, attended Cass Tech High School, and later played college football at the University of Michigan. Simkus was part of the 1964 Michigan Wolverines, who won the Big Ten title and the 1965 Rose Bowl. He was drafted by the Cleveland Browns and went on to play for the New York Jets and Minnesota Vikings, before establishing a personal training service in Michigan.
