Arsenie Voaideș, born Augustin Voaideș on January 24, 1951, in Huisurez, Romania, was an influential Romanian Orthodox archimandrite and abbot of Berzunți Monastery. He played a key role in revitalizing monastic life in the region after being appointed in 1987. Voaideș was dedicated to theological education, earning licenses and a master’s degree in theology. He contributed significantly to the restoration of the monastery and founded the Pogleț Monastery, fostering monastic communities. He passed away on February 16, 2018, leaving a lasting legacy in Romanian Orthodoxy.
