Arsenije 'Arsa' Milošević was a Yugoslavian director known for his work in film, television, and theatre. He made history in 1957 by becoming the first Serbian director to win a prize at the Cannes Film Festival for his experimental film Orpheus. After working in television, he shifted to theatre, creating the opera Gilgamesh, which was well-received. He also wrote the libretto for Under the Mephistos Sign, which reimagined Goethe's Faust, but this opera was never performed.
