Artak Davtyan is an Armenian military officer born on March 31, 1970, in Pampakashat, Armenia. He held the position of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia from May 2018 to June 2020 and again from March 2021 to February 2022. Davtyan participated in the First Nagorno-Karabakh War (1988-1992) and rose through the ranks of the newly formed Armenian army. He has served in various leadership roles and worked in the General Staff since 2006, becoming the head of the operations department in 2009.
