She gained notoriety for her role in the BLBI prosecution graft case, where she was found guilty of bribing a prosecutor to the tune of $660,000. In July 2008, she was sentenced to five years in prison by the Jakarta Corruption Court. The scandal also led to the resignation or dismissal of various officials from the Attorney General’s Office of Indonesia, highlighting the widespread implications of corruption within the judiciary.
