In 1976, he murdered 9-year-old Jason VerDow and later abducted and killed 11-year-old Kenneth Dawson. Found sane and guilty, he received life imprisonment in Maryland and a death sentence in Florida. Known for his disturbing remarks and lack of remorse, he claimed to see his murders as a protest against society. He was executed by electrocution on April 5, 1984.
