Arthur Ralph Hinkel was an influential American electrical engineer, known for his significant contribution to the field of electrology through the development of the Blend Method. In collaboration with Henri St. Pierre, he co-invented a patented blended current epilator in 1948, which combined electrolysis and thermolysis techniques. Besides his invention, Hinkel was a successful business owner and expanded into a chain of electrology practices. He divested the manufacturing part of his business in 1984, which continues to operate under his name.
