Arthur Eugene Jenkins, Jr. (1936-2009) was a prominent American keyboardist, composer, arranger, and percussionist. He collaborated with famous artists like John Lennon, Bob Marley, and Chaka Khan. Born in The Bronx, he began piano at age five and studied music in Ohio. Notably, he worked extensively with Johnny Nash, contributing to the hit "I Can See Clearly Now," and had a successful partnership with Harry Belafonte. Jenkins recorded for multiple other legends and also created original music, releasing two CDs. He passed away unexpectedly at age 73 in Manhattan.
