Arthur McCashin was an American equestrian born in Larne on May 5, 1909. He participated in the 1952 Summer Olympics in London, where he excelled in team show jumping, winning a bronze medal, while placing twelfth in individual show jumping. He rode the horse Miss Budweiser in both events. After retiring from competitive riding, McCashin transitioned to designing horse racing courses and spent many years planning the National Horse Show in New York.
