Arthur "Guitar Boogie" Smith (1921 – 2014) was an American musician, songwriter, and record producer, as well as a radio and television host. He created "The Arthur Smith Show," the first country music show on American television, and established the first commercial recording studio in the Southeastern United States in Charlotte, North Carolina. Smith gained fame with his hit "Guitar Boogie" in 1945, which sold over three million copies. His work includes the famous piece "Feudin' Banjos," which regained popularity as "Dueling Banjos" in the 1972 film "Deliverance."
