Arvid Genius is a Norwegian jazz musician from Bergen, born on October 11, 1942, known for playing the vibraphone and being a vocalist and music journalist. After growing up in Marl, West Germany, he returned to Norway around 1957 and joined Eivin Sannes's band in the early 1960s. He hosted a jazz program starting in 1970 and has released three albums. Genius was a regular vocalist with Per Nyhaugs radiostorband from 1977 to 1992 and collaborated with various artists, forming his own quintet.
