Arvind Kumar (1930-2021) was an influential Indian journalist, critic, and lexicographer. Notably, he authored the first Hindi thesaurus, Samantar Kosh, and a bilingual thesaurus and dictionary for Penguin India. He also created Arvind Lexicon, an extensive English-Hindi database. His editorial career included roles as Executive Editor at Delhi Press and Founder-Editor of Hindi publications. Arvind's autobiography, ShabdVedh, was released in 2016. A documentary about his life, Thesaurus Man - Arvind Kumar, was shared on YouTube in 2023, highlighting his contributions to language and literature.
