Tapani Arvo 'Arwo' Mikkonen (May 12, 1954 – February 24, 1986) was a Finnish musician best known as the original guitarist of the band Popeda. He died from a heart attack in Tampere after a sound check. Mikkonen had a congenital heart defect that went undetected by the medical methods of the time. His death led Popeda to cancel their gigs and nearly disband until his wife's support helped them stay together. In his memory, Juice Leskinen Grand Slam released a song in 1986, and Popeda followed with a single dedicated to him.
