Asbjørn Krokstad (May 21, 1931 – July 31, 2017) was a Norwegian scientist known for his contributions to acoustics. He was also an accomplished conductor and musician, skilled in trombone, double bass, and cello. Krokstad studied weak current technology at NTNU and became a professor of acoustics there, focusing on room acoustics, musical instruments, and hearing aids. He was active in various music ensembles and authored a book on conducting. His significant contributions were recognized with an honorary title from Polyhymnia.
