Ashley John Callus, born on March 10, 1979, in Brisbane, Queensland, is an Australian swimmer specializing in short distance freestyle events. Coached by Chris Urquhart, Callus achieved his greatest success by winning a gold medal in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay at the 2000 Sydney Olympics, setting a new world record. He also won individual gold at the 2002 Short Course World Championships over 100 m freestyle, and participated in various relay events throughout his career, earning multiple podium finishes at the Commonwealth Games and Short Course World Championships.
