Ashok Kumar Mathur, born on 7 August 1943, is a distinguished former chief justice of the Calcutta High Court and chief justice of the Madhya Pradesh High Court. He served as a Justice of the Supreme Court of India and was appointed as the chairman of the Armed Forces Tribunal. Additionally, he held the position of Chairman of the 7th Central Pay Commission. Notably, he also led a court of inquiry into a Boeing crash that occurred in Ahmedabad during 1987–88.
