Ashok K. Vijh, born in 1938 in Punjab, is a distinguished Indian-born Canadian chemist who immigrated to Canada in 1962. He is known for his significant contributions to electrochemistry, particularly in the treatment of cancer using electrochemical methods. A prolific author, he has published over 400 refereed papers and written eight books. Vijh has received more than 60 awards for his work and served as the president of The Academy of Science of The Royal Society of Canada from 2005 to 2007. His research spans various fields, including science policy and ethics.
