Ashot Serob Saghyan is an Armenian organic chemist renowned for his contributions to the field of chemistry. He was born on April 7, 1957, in Champare, Martakert Region, in what was then the Azerbaijan SSR. He earned his doctorate in chemical sciences in 1997 and became a professor in 2003. Saghyan has been a correspondent member of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia since 2006 and was appointed the president of the academy on June 28, 2021.
