Ason, the pseudonym of Nils Bertil Andersson, was a Swedish cartoonist born on January 26, 1913, in Solna and died on October 19, 1988. He was one of Sweden's most prolific humorous cartoonists, creating over 20 comic series for the Swedish press, with notable works including 'Stålfarfar'. Ason signed most of his work as Ason or A-son and was active from 1948 onwards. His other series included '47 Kvick', 'Spik-Anton', 'Masthuggs-Morgan', and 'Glade Oskar'. Ason is buried in the memorial grove of Solna Cemetery.
