Gerd Åsta Hjelm Arnesen (1919–2003) was a notable Norwegian composer and lyricist. Throughout her career, she wrote many beloved songs, including hits for the artist Lille Grethe, such as 'Teddyen min' (My Teddy). Hjelm's work extended to other musicians as well, crafting songs like 'Brevet jeg aldri sendte' (The Letter I Never Sent) for Åse Wentzel and 'Flyktningegutten' (The Refugee Boy) for Harald Dyrkorn. In recognition of her contributions, she was named honorary ambassador of Horten in 1997.
