Astrid Krog Halse was a Norwegian poet and teacher, born on January 25, 1914, in Meldal, and died on February 7, 2007, in Trondheim. She was known for her poems written in the dialect of Meldal. Halse published seven volumes of poetry, with her first collection titled 'Marimesse' released in 1961. Some of her texts were adapted by the Norwegian rock band Gåte. Growing up in a family of teachers, she made significant contributions to Norwegian literature.
