Aswin Kwanmuang is a Thai politician and former deputy commissioner of the Royal Thai Police who served as the governor of Bangkok from October 2016 to March 2022. He is notable for his career in law enforcement, being recognized for his efforts to tackle important national cases. After retiring, he transitioned into politics and ran as an independent candidate in the 2022 Bangkok gubernatorial election. Despite his efforts, he did not win the election, finishing fifth with 214,805 votes. He has received several royal decorations for his service.
