Atallah Abu Ziyad (January 5, 1942 - November 26, 2019) was a Palestinian poet born in the village of Al-Eizariya near Jerusalem. He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Arabic Language from the Arab University of Beirut in 1971. Throughout his career, he worked as a teacher and educator in Jordan, Morocco, and Oman. He was one of the founders of the Jordanian Writers and Authors Union in 1987. He passed away in Zarqa, Jordan, and was buried in the Hashemite Cemetery.
