Athanasios Germanidis is a Greek politician affiliated with the Coalition of the Radical Left. Born in 1951 in the village of Mahala, he studied physics and mathematics at the University of Athens. He worked as a high school teacher and was a member of the Communist Party of Greece from 1978 to 1988. He later joined the Coalition of Left Movements and Ecology (Synaspismos) and served as secretary of the Coalition of Lerin for 18 years. He was elected as a deputy from Lerin in the elections on June 17, 2012.
