Athanasios Papageorgiou is a Greek sports shooter born on November 8, 1958. He represented Greece in the mixed 50 metre rifle prone event at the 1980 Summer Olympics. Following his athletic career, he became the general secretary of SKOE, the Hellenic Shooting Federation, and went on to be elected as the President of the Federation, a role he continues to fulfill. He is also a member of the Hellenic Olympic Committee.
