Athanasios Papageorgiou, known as Papa, is a Greek volleyball coach born on April 4, 1943, in Rhodes. Since 1983, he has been coaching the German national volleyball team for the disabled, achieving notable success in Paralympic sitting volleyball competitions. Apart from his work in disabled sports, he has also coached TSV Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Additionally, Papageorgiou has authored several textbooks on volleyball, contributing to the sport's development and knowledge.
