Athol Raymond Jennings was a South African middle-distance runner born on 19 November 1930. He notably competed in the men's 1500 metres at the 1952 Summer Olympics. After his athletic career, he became a minister in the Methodist Church of Southern Africa, eventually leading the church's education department in the 1970s. Jennings served as the headmaster of Waterford Kamhlaba School in eSwatini from 1974 to 1984. He passed away on 10 February 2024, at the age of 93.
