She began writing poetry at the age of 14 and later received a Bachelor of Arts from the Higher Teachers Institute. In 1950, she joined the Sorbonne University and obtained her doctorate in 1955. She published a collection of works by the poet Abbas ibn al-Ahnaf in 1954 and taught Arabic at the Higher Teachers Institute. Al-Khazraji also published a work about the poet Ismail Sabri.
