Atsuko Muraki (born December 28, 1955) is a Japanese labor and welfare bureaucrat and a visiting professor at Tsuda University. She became the fourth female director at the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare in 2008, overseeing the Employment Equality and Child and Family Bureau. Her career includes roles as Cabinet Office Policy Manager, Director of Social Welfare at the Ministry, and Deputy Minister from July 2013 to September 2015. Post-retirement, she has held numerous leadership positions, including the chairperson of Japan's National Social Welfare Council and other social initiatives.
