Atsushi Seike is a Japanese economist born on April 11, 1954, specializing in labor economics. He earned a Ph.D. in commerce from Keio University in 1993. Seike has held several prestigious positions including advisor to Keio University, emeritus professor at Keio University, and president of the Japanese Red Cross Society. He served as the dean of the Faculty of Business and Commerce at Keio University and was president of Keio University from 2009 to 2017. Additionally, he was the chairman of the Japan Private Universities Association and the director of a foundation promoting private schools.
