Mohammed Attiqur Rahman was a prominent general in the Pakistan Army and a military historian. Serving as the martial law administrator of West Pakistan during General Yahya Khan's regime, he was also the last Governor of West Pakistan. He played a key role in the dissolution of the One Unit scheme and subsequently became the first Governor of Punjab province. Rahman was recognized for his contributions to the military and governance in Pakistan.
